Property report
Landscaping was completed during the past week along Berry Avenue and
the back entrance. While the landscapers where here, the HOA had them prop
up some trees around the lake and remove some shrubbery that posed a road
hazard.
The fence along the east side of the property (along Islesworth Circle)
was completed by Treasure Coast Fencing. The HOA has written to the Palm
City rehab center to find out what their intentions are on repairing the
fence that extends along that side of our property.
The Martin County School Board responded to questions about the fence
between Hidden Oaks Middle School and Islesworth. The school is looking
for funding to pay for the repairs/replacement.
New street signs will be coming soon. The metal street sign posts will
be replaced with wooden 6x6 posts. The maintenance crew from our property
manager, Capital Realty Advisors, will do the work, and Islesworth will
pay for the materials.
The cleaning, painting and lighting of the front wall has been
completed, all at a cost of less than $1,000 thanks to volunteer labor by
residents and creative solutions.
New business
A homeowner requested that a special policy be made to let him leave
his transparent hurricane shutters on year-round. The board denied the
request. [See hurricane shutter policy]
Islesworth has paid off one year of the five-year SBA loan, which was
obtained for hurricane repairs. The board agreed that when the loan is
paid off, that Islesworth should keep putting the equivalent of the loan
payments into reserve to eventually pay for road repaving.
The property manager will look into getting the park area treated for
fire ants.
Two-story problem
A resident spoke about water intrusion problems in the two-story homes
in Islesworth. Many homes have experienced water seeping in from outside
over the years.
