Property report
Spigots needed to be added to the irrigation along Berry Avenue before
landscaping can begin. The work was expected to be done a couple of days
after the meeting, and landscaping was expected to begin within a week.
Lights along the front wall were installed over the weekend of March
11-12. Board president Dennis Rohan gave thanks to residents Mr. Armstrong
and Mr. Baker for helping with this work. The lights were installed about
4.5 feet up the wall and reinforced, in the hopes that these will be more
vandal-proof.
The Board also thanked Mr. Creber, the Islesworth resident who painted
the front wall.
Islesworth is asking the Martin County School District about plans to
repair the fence bordering Hidden Oaks Middle School.
Islesworth is seeking bids to continue the fence along the eastern
border of the community. The property between the Kingsley property and
the Rehab Center has been rezoned, and a fence likely will be necessary. A
developer likely will build 15 homes on the property, but there is no site
plan yet.
The property manager is looking at options for benches to replace the
ones by the front pond that have been vandalized. He's looking into
sturdy, maintenance-free ones.
Parking reminders
In view of recent parking problems in the community, the Board wishes
to remind residents about the Islesworth parking policies:

- Double parking in the cul-de-sacs is not permitted.
- Do not park on the grass or sidewalks.
- No commercial vehicle, mobile home, motor home, camper, horse trailer or van, boat, boat trailer or other recreational vehicle or equipment, or the like can be parked or be stored at any place on the property unless in a garage or situated on your lot so they are not visible from the street any other lot.
- No maintenance or repairs shall be performed on any vehicles upon any portion of the property. In an emergency situation, repairs to disabled vehicles within the property must be completed or the vehicle must be removed within two hours of immobilization.
