Meeting Summary

May 9, 2005

Board of Directors Meeting
Fencing work begins

Work began this week on taking out and replacing the fence along Berry Avenue. Islesworth used the special hurricane fund to pay the deposit, lock in a good price, and get the work started. The paperwork to finally obtain funds from the SBA loan has been mailed, and a payout is expected soon.

Buffer zone resolved

The 15-foot buffer between Islesworth and the Kingsley property has been settled. Pulte has agreed to plant about 600 trees and shrubs of various types along the boundary between the Kingsley property and the homes on the south side of Marco Lane. Pulte is paying to plant the trees, and the Kingsleys are responsible for maintaining them. Also, no motorized vehicles are allowed in the buffer area.

Drainage repairs

The Martin Downs Property Owners Association has totaled more than $300,000 in repairs to drainage pipes throughout the Martin Downs communities. Much more work has yet to be done. Many pipes were made of corrugated metal and were initially installed in the 1970s.

Summer break

As has been usual in the past, no HOA meetings are scheduled for June and July.
