The following summary is provided by Diane Tomasik, resident and
Webmaster.
ARC Report
The Architectural Review Committee presented a few updates, starting
with information about mailbox maintenance. Details can now be found on a
new page called Mailbox Information (on the
Rules,
Regulations & Forms page).
The committee also will be amending the ARC
form to reflect the ARC's decision to grant blanket approval to some
types of changes to Islesworth homes, including
- Gutters.
- Solar panels.
- Door colors.
- Lanterns on either side of the garage door.
- Landscape lighting (not driveway lighting).
Homeowners must still submit an ARC form for to the property manager so
that is on record, but the changes do not have to go through the ARC
approval process.
Property Manager Report
Some common ground areas need mulching, but the cost may be about
$4,000. Also, some bushes are dying along the front wall. The landscape
company recommended replacing with hedges, but the Board suggested
trees.
The pineapple symbols on the Islesworth signs have been painted.
After receiving plans and requests from Islesworth, FPL will be coming
to make suggestions on lighting.
There has been no response from Commissioner DiTerlizzi's office about
the board's request to have a four-way stop sign put at the intersection
of Estella Terrace and Berry Avenue.
Violations Resolved
A matter of discussion during the past two board meetings was resolved.
A resident had filled and re-sodded a sunken area in common ground in back
of his home. A motion was made at the last board meeting to force him to
un-do the work, but a tie-breaking vote announced May 12 was made in the
resident's favor.
In new business, a resident received a violation notice for a brochure
box attached to the "for sale" sign on his property. After much
debate, the board voted that the violation notice was in error, and
brochure boxes are allowed.
