Because residents have had questions of ownership regarding the Brinks alarm systems installed in our homes, Pulte Home Corp. clarified the arrangement (January 2005):

Pulte has a nationwide contract with Brinks, and a Brinks alarm is installed in every Pulte home built. The system is part of the home at construction, but the monitoring service is between Brinks and the homeowner.

The question most recently arose when one of our residents called Brinks to cancel the monitoring and was informed that Brinks would need to come out and remove the entire system, as it belongs to Brinks. This, however, is not true.
